One Kid: Cheap! Located in Iowa. You Pick Up.

The Story: 32 year old Iowa mother attempts to settle the $200 debt on her wedding dress by offering the retailer her 4 year old son in payment. Needless to say, she no longer has custody of her children.

My 2 Cents: Wow. As a mother of two children myself, this kind of behavior is unfathomable. I seriously don't understand people who desert their children. To me, this is like cutting off my own arm. It doesn't make any sense at all. There should be a test required to have children. You don't have to be a genius, but it would be required to have some damned common sense. And sanity. Sanity is definitely a requirement.

Obviously...

This bey-otch is craaayy-zayy! (You don't know this, but when I was writing that part it had a sound track. "Craayy-zayy...She's Cray-zay for bein' sooo stu-piiiiiiid!")

Right. Anyway. *Ahem!*

Apparently this mother wants to start her new life (with her fiance...if he hasn't run for the hills by now) so badly that she'll do anything to wipe away her past...including sell her child. I'm not sure yet of how how she was planning on ditching the 10-year-old, but 10-year-olds are probably worth more than a $200 dress, so I suppose he would cover the caterer. Let's see....10 years old? That should cover the keg of Bud, the cake and a few platters of bacon-wrapped weenies!!! YES!!!

The weirdest thing about this story is, with DHS taking custody of her children, she actually got exactly what she wanted. Her kids are gone. And now that she isn't supporting them, she might be able to afford to pay that dress bill! Woooo! Dream wedding, here she comes!

Of course, what she should have gotten was a prison sentence. After the severe ass whooping.
